Touchdown

This is probably the last piece of art that I will ever post of Kestrel anywhere ever. This piece is titled "Touchdown", and is done on an 18x24" stretched pre-gessoed canvas with oil. I plan to matte varnish this piece because of the uneven-ness in the paint due to the excessive amounts of walnut oil I used (lol) to get the nice even application I initially wanted... no harm no foul, though. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome, although I apologize for the glare. The walnut oil makes the paint itself extremely shiny in spots, and in any lighting this painting sat in, all I could get in the photo was a nasty glare. This is approximately 2 weeks of work.
